9 December 2024
BLC Energy visited Forfar Academy last week to support second-year students with their renewable energy presentation
Neil Lindsay, MD of BLC Energy, was invited to the school to share his expertise and provide ‘real-life’ insights to guide the students’ work, which explores potential uses for renewable energy in Forfar.
Forfar Academy’s science curriculum covers sustainable sources of energy, including solar, wind and tidal as part of a wider education on the environment, sustainability and responsible global citizenship.
Neil Lindsay, MD of BLC Energy, said of the visit:
“It was an honour to meet such passionate and engaged young people – instilling confidence in a future generation that will demand that we fully embrace renewable energy and tackle the challenges of climate change.”
Kassim Mohamed, Head Teacher of Forfar Academy, commented,
“We can’t thank Neil enough for his invaluable insights. The pupils really enjoyed having him share his expertise, which allowed them to consider different angles and approaches to their proposals.”
BLC Energy recently went public on a proposed Solar and BESS development in Haugh of Cossans, Angus. The second public consultation for this proposal is expected to take place in February/ March 2025.
